Music Angel-Blinking light

I just got a music angel(kt88's) (from china) When I first plugged it in, the red power light flashed for 20 seconds and then turned white.I thought is this a circuit to warm the filiments before the plate voltage is applied so I decieded to read the instructions (Hey! I'm a guy) and I was right. Noware in the ad does it say that it has this feature. Its a great feature! I'm wondering if this is a new feature or if other music angels tube amps like mine have this feature. Also it has 12au7 and 12at7 with Made in usa on them. Could they be using old stock usa tubes?

I had one of those if it's the model that can be switched from ultra-linear to triode.  The soft-start feature is pretty cool but I don't know how many Music Angel amps have it, that's kind of a top of the line model.  You were lucky to actually get instructions.  I've also bought Chinese amps with old US tubes in them, they are always very common cheap tubes.  Nothing wrong with that though.  Enjoy it!

I was thinking about buying one of these to use as a PA amplifier for a very small chamber hall at a private school, to drive a pair of replica Ev patrician cabs. Would it work alright? This theatre is very small, and only seats around 75 people. The amp would mostly be used to reproduce recorded music, amplify vocals, and acoustic instruments.

yes but it might be cheaper to buy something less exotic like a cheap solid state amplifier.  You would only need 20 watts per side for a small hall.People here tend to go overboard.I drive my speakers to over 110 db sometimes. Its far to loud for 99% of the people.
